"Battlestar Galactica" veteran Katee Sackhoff is ready to head back into space for the new Netflix series "Another Life". The 10-episode sci-fi drama will follow astronaut Niko Breckenridge (Sackhoff) as she leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. Their investigation turns out to be much more dangerous than expected and possibly a one-way trip.
The series is created by Aaron Martin ("Slasher", "Degrassi: The Next Generation"), who will also serve as showrunner. Noreen Halpern ("Alias Grace", "Rookie Blue", "Haven") will executive-produce.
Sackhoff is coming off a six-season run as the female lead in the drama series "Longmire". The final three seasons of that show were produced by Netflix after being cancelled by A&E. Sackhoff also has a recurring role on "The Flash".
