"The Disaster Artist" is a biopic produced, directed by and starring James Franco that chronicles the making of Tommy Wiseau's infamous "The Room", which is widely considered the worst movie ever made. The film is based on the non-fiction book "The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made" written by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell.

Franco plays Wiseau, and the ensemble cast also includes Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Ari Graynor, Josh Hutcherson, Jacki Weaver, Zac Efron, Hannibal Buress, Sharon Stone, Melanie Griffith, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Zoey Deutch, Randall Park, Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

"The Disaster Artist" opened in limited release on December 1, 2017 and will expand nationwide on December 8th. The film received universal acclaim from critics who praised Franco for both his direction and performance, and it looks like it's going to score some serious attention during the awards season.
