"Coco" is a new animated film from Pixar and Disney, and the former's 19th full-length feature. The film is directed by Lee Unkrich ("Toy Story 3"), based on his own original idea, and Adrian Molina. It is the first film ever made with an all-Latino cast to have a $200 million budget.

The story follows a 12-year-old aspiring musician (Anthony Gonzalez) who is confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music. He finds himself in the Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events and proceeds to unravel the mystery of his family's history. The voice cast also includes Gael Garcia Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, Alanna Ubach, Edward James Olmos, Cheech Marin, Jaime Camill, Alfonso Arau and Gabriel Iglesias.

"Coco" premiered on November 22nd, 2017 and received universal praise from critics. The film has been ranked among the best of Pixar's portfolio, a success they clearly needed after recent lackluster films. It also placed first at the box-office during its Thanksgiving holiday weekend debut, grossing $49 million in the three-day timeframe and $71.1 million in the five days since its release.
