"The Sense of an Ending" is a drama from BAFTA-nominated director Ritesh Batra ("Dabba"), adapted by screenwriter Nick Payne from the novel of the same name by Julian Barnes.

The film stars Jim Broadbent as a reclusive and quiet man who becomes haunted by long buried secrets from his past and the devastating consequences of decisions made a lifetime ago. Charlotte Rampling, Harriet Walter, Michelle Dockery, Matthew Goode, Emily Mortimer, Freya Mavor and Edward Holcroft also star.

"The Sense of an Ending" premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival where it won the Directors to Watch award. It made its U.S. debut on March 10th, 2017 and received mixed to positive reviews. The film will be released in the U.K. on April 14th.
