Written and directed by Martin Koolhoven ("AmnesiA"), the western thriller "Brimstone" stars Dakota Fanning as a frontier woman, wrongly accused of a crime she didn't commit, who is hunted by a vengeful preacher (Guy Pearce) in the menacing inferno of the old American West.

The film also stars Kit Harington, Carice van Houten, Paul Anderson, Emilia Jones and Carla Juri. When the film was announced in 2015, Mia Wasikowska and Robert Pattinson were attached to star, but they were ultimately replaced by Fanning and Harington.

"Brimstone" was a hit in The Netherlands both with critics and audiences. The film also participated in competition at the Venice Film Festival where it was nominated for the Golden Lion. It premiered in the U.S. on March 10th, 2017 in select theaters, and received a strangely opposite reaction from critics, whose reviews were mixed to negative.
