"Utopia" is drama series created by Gillian Flynn, the author of "Gone Girl" and "Sharp Objects". The show is based on Dennis Kelly's 2013 British series of the same name, and it follows a group of young adults, who meet online and get a hold of a cult underground graphic novel, which not only pins them as a target of a shadowy deep state organization, but also burdens them with the dangerous task of saving the world. The cast includes Sasha Lane, Rainn Wilson, John Cusack, Dan Byrd, Cory Michael Smith, Ashleigh LaThrop, Jessica Rothe and Fiona Dourif.

"Utopia" premiered on September 25, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

"Utopia centers on a group of comic fans who meet online and bond over their obsession of a seemingly fictional comic called, "Utopia." Together, Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop), Ian (Dan Byrd), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges) and Grant (Javon "Wanna" Walton) unearth hidden meanings cloaked within the pages of "Utopia," predicting threats to humanity. They realize these are not just the makings of a conspiracy; they are very real dangers coming alive right now in their world. The high-stakes adventure brings the group face-to-face with the comic's famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save the world while harboring secrets of her own."
