"Mulan" is Disney's new live-action adaptation of their classic 1998 animated film of the same name, which was inspired by the Chinese folk tale "Ballad of Mulan". The 2020 film is directed by Niki Caro ("The Zookeeper's Wife" from a script by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver ("Jurassic World", "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", and Lauren Hynek & Elizabeth Martin ("Christmas Perfection").

The cast features Chum Ehelepola, Donnie Yen, Doua Moua, Jason Scott Lee, Jet Li, Jimmy Wong, Jun Yu, Li Gong, Nelson Lee, Pei-pei Cheng, Roger Yuan, Ron Yuan, Rosalind Chao, Tzi Ma, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Xana Tang, Yifei Liu and Yoson An.

The film's original March 9, 2020 release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the film was eventually released on September 4, 2020 on Disney+ for an additional $30 fee.
