The 2020 film "Emma" is a dramedy directed by Autumn de Wilde in his feature film debut, from a script by Eleanor Catton based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel of the same name.

The film follows Emma Woodhouse (Anya Taylor-Joy), a well meaning but selfish young woman, who has no wish to marry but enjoys pairing up her family and friends. Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along. Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Miranda Hart, Josh O'Connor, Rupert Graves and Callum Turner co-star.

"Emma" opened in theaters on February 14, 2020 in the U.K. and on February 21, 2020 in the U.S. (limited release).
