"Year of the Rabbit" is a British sitcom created by Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley that follows Detective Inspector Rabbit (Matt Berry), a hardened booze-hound, his hapless new partner Strauss (Freddie Fox) and the ambitious daughter (Susan Wokoma) of the chief of police, as they fight crime while rubbing shoulders with street gangs, crooked politicians and Bulgarian princes. The show has been renewed for a second season.

"Year of the Rabbit" premiered on Channel 4 on June 10, 2019 in the U.K., and in the U.S. on February 19, 2020 on IFC.

"Set in the dark heart of Victorian London, Year of the Rabbit follows Detective Inspector Rabbit (BAFTA winner Matt Berry), a hardened booze-hound who's seen it all, and his hapless new partner Strauss (Freddie Fox). While investigating a murder, the ambitious daughter (Susan Wokoma) of the chief of police joins them, becoming London's first female officer. Together, the trio must fight crime while rubbing shoulders with street gangs, crooked politicians and Bulgarian princes."
