"Dora and the Lost City of Gold" is an adventure film and a live-action adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated TV series "Dora the Explorer" created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh and Eric Weiner.

Directed by James Bobin ("The Muppets") from a script by Matthew Robinson ("Monster Trucks") and Nicholas Stoller ("Storks"), the film stars Isabela Moner as the titular protagonist, a teenage explorer who leads her friends on an adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost city of gold.

Eugenio Derbez, Michael Pena, Eva Longoria, Jeff Wahlberg, Adriana Barraza, Nicholas Coombe and Temuera Morrison co-star. The film also features the voices of Danny Trejo as Boots the Monkey, and Benicio del Toro as Swiper the Fox.

"Dora and the Lost City of Gold" opened in theaters on August 9, 2019.
