"The Angry Birds Movie 2" is an animated film directed by Thurop Van Orman (writer on "Adventure Time") and John Rice (character designer on "The Simpsons"), from a script by Peter Ackerman ("Ice Age"), Eyal Podell & Jonathon E. Stewart ("Smallfoot"). The film is a sequel to the 2016 film "The Angry Birds Movie", and both are based on Rovio Entertainment's "Angry Birds" video game series.

In this sequel, a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, forcing both the flightless angry birds and the scheming green piggies to form an unlikely superteam, in order to save their homes. the voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Leslie Jones, Bill Hader, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Eugenio Derbez, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage and more.

"The Angry Birds Movie 2" opened in theaters on August 16, 2019.

"The flightless angry birds and the scheming green piggies take their beef to the next level in The Angry Birds Movie 2! When a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride), and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck's sister Silver (Rachel Bloom) and team up with pigs Leonard (Bill Hader), his assistant Courtney (Awkwafina), and techpig Garry (Sterling K. Brown) to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes. "
