The second season of the Superman prequel series "Krypton" has premiered on June 12, 2019 on Syfy. Created by David S. Goyer ("The Dark Knight") and Damian Kindler ("Stargate SG-1"), the show is set 200 years before the birth of Kal-El/Superman and it focuses on his grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) and his struggle for justice on his home planet.

The second season finds Seg-El stranded far from home, where his grandfather leads a Rebellion against General Zod (Colin Salmon). The cast also includes Georgina Campbell, Shaun Sipos, Elliot Cowan, Wallis Day and Ann Ogbomo.

"KRYPTON Season 2 premieres June 12th on Syfy! Based on DC Comics characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. It follows Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
