"Hampstead" is a British romantic dramedy directed by Joel Hopkins ("Last Chance Harvey") from a script by Oscar nominated writer Robert Festinger ("In the Bedroom").

The film is based on the life of Harry Hallowes who successfully claimed ownership of a half-acre plot of Hampstead Heath, and it stars Diane Keaton as an American widow who tries to help a gruff Irish loner (Brendan Gleeson) whose home is threatened by greedy real estate developers, and ends up falling for him in the process.

The cast also includes James Norton, Lesley Manville, Jason Watkins, Phil Davis, Simon Callow and Alistair Petrie.

"Hampstead" was released on June 23, 2017 in the U.K. and in select theaters in the U.S. on June 14, 2019.
