Ethan Hawke ("Boyhood") is in negotiations to re-team with "Training Day" co-star Denzel Washington in director Antoine Fuqua's "The Magnificent Seven" remake. The MGM production will be an update of the 1960 western starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson. That film was also a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 classic "Seven Samurai". The first draft of the remake's script has been penned by "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto and John Lee Hancock ("Snow White and the Huntsman") was tasked with writing a new treatment. The film also stars Chris Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy") and Hailey Bennett ("The Equalizer"). No release date has been set, so far.
