With production on the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie already underway in Queesnland, Australia, Disney decided to officially reveal the film's title and synopsis. The title is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", which isn't really a big surprise, since the name surfaced as a rumor last year. The synopsis, however, is quite interesting:
"Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas."So far the cast includes Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, Golshifteh Farahani, Martin Klebba, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin R. McNally, Stephen Graham and Adam Brown, with rumors indicating that Orlando Bloom might also return to the franchise.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be released on July 7, 2017.
