The R-rated sequel "300: Rise of an Empire" took the No. 1 spot at the box-office over the weeknd with an impressive $45 million, not quite better than the original "300" ($70 million in March 2007), but still solid. The animated adventure "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" opened at No. 2 with $32 million, far better than anyone predicted, or expected. The top 5 is rounded up by the Liam Neeson starrer "Non-Stop" down 46%, "The LEGO Movie" down 47%, and last week's religious drama "Son of God" which crashed 60% this weekend.
More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.
