Weekend Box-Office Report: POMPEII, 3 DAYS TO KILL

Once again, the top spot is reserved for the animated feature "The LEGO Movie" which held the No. 1 position for a third consecutive weekend, with $31.4 million grossed in the current 3-day timeframe. The film has reached a domestic total of $183 million and from international markets it has grossed an additional $92 million.

Last week's new releases, "3 Days to kill" and "Pompeii" did not impress, with the former grossing $12 million in three days and the latter $10 million. While the Kevin Costner starrer is a small budget actioner ($28 million), you could argue that it has done alright, but Paul W.S. Anderson's "Pompeii" had a budget of $100 million, so the studios were probably expecting more than a measly $10 million in its opening weekend. The disaster flick is officially among the year's top box-office bombs.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.
