Directed by Carlos López Estrada, the dramedy "Blindspotting" stars Daveed Diggs as a parolee who has to make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning, but the situation becomes complicated when he and his troublemaking childhood best friend (Rafael Casal) witness a police shooting. The two men's friendship is tested as they grapple with identity and their changed realities in the rapidly-gentrifying neighborhood they grew up in.

Casal and Diggs, childhood friends in real-life, wrote and produced the film, which is based on their experiences living in the city of Oakland. The cast also includes Janina Gavankar, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Ethan Embry, Tisha Campbell-Martin and Wayne Knight.

"Blindspotting" premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The film was released in select theaters on July 20, 2018.

"Collin (Daveed Diggs) must make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning.
