Antoine Fuqua's "The Equalizer 2" is the sequel to the 2014 action thriller "The Equalizer", which was based on the TV series of the same name. Denzel Washington reprises the role of retired CIA black ops operative turned vigilante Robert McCall, and this is the actor's first ever sequel. McCall is once again set on a path of revenge after his longtime friend, Susan Plummer (Melissa Leo) is murdered. Pedro Pascal, Ashton Sanders, Bill Pullman, Jonathan Scarfe and Orson Bean co-star.

"The Equalizer 2" opened in theaters on July 20, 2018 and received mixed reviews from critics.
