The sixth season of the highly acclaimed prison dramedy series "Orange is the New Black" has been released on July 27, 2018 via Netflix. Created by Jenji Kohan, the show is based on Piper Kerman's memoir "Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison".
The series has already been renewed for a seventh season. The new season finds the ladies of Litchfield Penitentiary being moved to maximum security. The cast features Taylor Schilling, Danielle Brooks, Taryn Manning, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Selenis Leyva, Nick Sandow, Taryn Manning, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne and Dascha Polanco.
