"Fahrenheit 451" is a sci-fi drama co-written and directed by Ramin Bahrani ("99 Homes") based on the novel of the same name written by Ray Bradbury.

The film depicts a future in which firemen don't just put out fires, they are also tasked with burning books, since in this dystopian American society, all books have been outlawed. The title refers to "the temperature at which book paper catches fire, and burns". Michael B. Jordan stars as one such fireman, who begins to question his actions after meeting a young girl and joins a rebellion against society. The cast also includes Michael Shannon, Sofia Boutella, Dylan Taylor, Martin Donovan, Lilly Singh and Saad Siddiqui.

"Fahrenheit 451" premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and was released by HBO on May 19, 2018. The film received mostly negative reviews from critics.
