Jennifer Garner Set to Star in New HBO Series from GIRLS Creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner

Jennifer Garner will lead the new eight-episode HBO series titled "Camping". Written and executive-produced by "Girls" creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, the show is based on the U.K. series of the same name created by Julia Davis. Garner will star as Kathryn Siddell-Bauers, an obsessively organized and aggressively controlling wife, who organizes a camping trip for her husband's 45th birthday that becomes a stress test for their marriage when they are joined by Kathryn's meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited tagalong.

Dunham and Konner describe Garner's character as being "messy, tough and provocative and really really fun. We love Jennifer’s restraint and comedic timing, and we can’t wait for the warmth and intelligence she’ll bring to our central character, Kathryn. It’s truly a dream to have her first on our call sheet. Now we just have to write her some stunts."

Garner is famous for her role in the television series "Alias", which ran between 2001 and 2006, and earned her a Golden Globe and four Emmy nominations. Her big screen roles include "Daredevil", "13 Going on 30", "The Kingdom", "Dallas Buyers Club" and "Miracles from Heaven". Her upcoming films include the dramedy "Love Simon" and the thriller "Peppermint".
