DGA Awards 2018 Winners: Guillermo del Toro for The Shape of Water

The Directors Guild of America announced the winners of their 70th Annual Awards on Saturday night. The ceremony was hosted by "Knocked Up" director Judd Apatow. Guillermo del Toro strengthened his chances for an Oscar win after winning the DGA's top honor for his work on "The Shape of Water". Jordan Peele received the award for Directorial Achievement in First-Time Feature Film, and Matthew Heineman was honored for his documentary "City of Ghosts". In the television categories the winners include "Veep", "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Big Little Lies".
