Directed by Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity"), the biopic "American Made" tells the incredible true story of Barry Seal (Tom Cruise), a former TWA pilot who became a drug-runner for the CIA in the 1980s, spearheading a covert operation that led to the birth of the Medellin cartel and eventually almost brought down the Reagan administration with the Iran Contra scandal.

The film also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright, Jesse Plemons, Caleb Landry Jones, Lola Kirke and Jayma Mays.

"American Made" opened in theaters on September 29th, 2017 and received generally positive reviews, with most reviewers praising Cruise's performance and Liman's direction. The film opened with $16.7 million and has grossed $45.4 million in 24 days in the U.S. and $76.7 million internationally.
