The second season of the comedy series "The Good Place" airs a special one-hour premiere tonight at 10p on NBC. Created by Michael Schur ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") the show stars Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a recently deceased young woman who wakes up in heaven, but because she was sent there by mistake, she has to adapt to the rigors of the clean-living afterlife. In the new season, Eleanor and her friends find themselves in a new Good Place with no memories of their previous experiences.

The cast also includes Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D'Arcy Carden and Manny Jacino.

"From Michael Schur, executive producer of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Parks and Recreation," comes a smart, unique new comedy that follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, "House of Lies," "Veronica Mars"), an ordinary woman who, through an extraordinary string of events, enters the afterlife where she comes to realize that she hasn't been a very good person. With the help of her wise afterlife mentor (Ted Danson, "Bored to Death," "Cheers"), she's determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or at least the pretty good) person within."
