THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES Trailer, Images and Poster

The Shannara Chronicles TV show trailer, images and poster

MTV has released the first official trailer, images and poster for their upcoming fantasy series "The Shannara Chronicles" based on the book series by Terry Brooks.

The story is set thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization and it follows the adventures of an Elven Princess (Poppy Drayton), a half-human half-elf (Austin Butler), and a human (Ivana Baquero) who embark on a quest to prevent a demon army from destroying their world.

The pilot episode is directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Battle: Los Angeles"). The cast also includes Manu Bennett, Aaron Jakubenko, Emilia Burns, James Remar and John Rhys-Davies.

"The Shannara Chronicles" premieres in January 2016 on MTV.

Official Synopsis
"Coming to MTV in January 2016, ‘The Shannara Chronicles’ is a new TV series based on the best-selling fantasy novels by Terry Brooks. Set thousands of years after the destruction of our civilization, the story follows an Elven Princess, Amberle, a half-human half-elf, Wil, and a human, Eretria, as they embark on a quest to stop a Demon army from destroying the Four Lands."
