First trailer for The Forest starring Natalie Dormer

The first trailer for the horror film "The Forest" has been released online. The film stars Natalie Dormer as a young American woman who enters the legendary Aokigahara Forest in Japan, in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Straying from the safe path, she will have to confront the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest.

Directed by Jason Zada and written by Nick Antosca, Sarah Cornwell, Ben Ketai and David S. Goyer, the film also stars Taylor Kinney, Rina Takasaki, Eoin Macken, Yûho Yamashita and Yukiyoshi Ozawa.

"The Forest" will be released in the U.S. on January 8, 2016.

Official Synopsis
"A supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. A young American woman, Sara (Natalie Dormer of “Game of Thrones” and “The Hunger Games”), goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate – only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest."
