The first trailers, clip and posters for the biopic "Trumbo" have been released. The film chronicles the struggles of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) during the 1940s communist witch hunt which had him blacklisted and jailed for defying the Un-American Activities Committee. He was eventually able to keep working in Hollywood under a pseudonym and won two Oscars for "Roman Holiday" and "The Brave One". He also wrote the script for Stanley Kubrick's "Spartacus" and Kirk Douglas fought hard to ensure that Trumbo received credit for writing the script which led to the demise of the blacklist.
Directed by Jay Roach ("Game Change") the film also stars Diane Lane, Elle Fanning, Helen Mirren, John Goodman, Louis CK, Michael Stuhlbarg, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and David James Elliott.
"Trumbo" opens in theaters on November 6th.

"The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO (directed by Jay Roach) tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger."
