MADAME BOVARY Trailer: Mia Wasikowska Stars as One of Literature's Great Tragic Heroines

The first trailer for the new adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's French classic "Madame Bovary" has been released online. The story follows Emma (Mia Wasikowska) a young beauty who impulsively marries small-town doctor, Charles Bovary (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), to escape her father’s pig farm. But Emma begins to feel trapped and seeks solace with other men, including a passionate kindred spirit named Leon (Ezra Miller) and a wealthy nobleman (Logan Marshall-Green), which leads her down a tragic path. Directed by Sophie Barthes ("Cold Souls"), the film also stars Paul Giamatti, Rhys Ifans, Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Laura Carmichael. The film will open in theaters sometime this year.
