The first trailer and poster for the horror film "Ouija" have been released. The film is based on the Ouija Board game and it follows a group of friends who must confront their fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board.
We've all seen these Ouija boards used in various horror films to generate suspense and jump scares, but to focus an entire film on scenes featuring people sitting around the board could prove to be problematic. It will either be a "Jumanji" type film, or just another heavily cliched horror flick designed to cash in on Halloween.
The film is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Jason Blum, the people responsible for "The Purge" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake. The cast features Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos and Ana Coto.
"Ouija" opens in theaters on October 24th.
