A few days ago, the cast of J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII" was officially announced on StarWars.com. The announcement also came with a nice group photo (above) featuring all the actors and director Abrams sitting down and discussing their parts. Months of speculation have finally been concluded with both expected and surprising results. The cast of the sequel will feature John Boyega ("Attack the Block"), Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver ("Girls"), Oscar Isaac ("Inside Llewyn Davis"), Andy Serkis ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes"), Domhnall Gleeson ("About Time") and Max von Sydow ("The Exorcist"). They will be joined by the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. The less known cast member here is Daisy Ridley, who is going to make her feature film debut with "Star Wars" after appearing in some TV series episodes and shorts.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will open in theaters on December 18, 2015.

You can find the full announcement and the above photo with each actor's name and credits included (IGN) after the jump.
