captain america winter soldier box office

Marvel and Disney have done it again. Their latest production, the highly praised sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" stormed the box-office this weekend with a record-breaking April debut of $96 million in the U.S. and a total worldwide cume of $303 million. This is a gigantic result for the film, considering that its predecessor, "Captain America: The First Avenger" grossed $370 million worldwide in its entire theatrical run. The Captain is followed at a large distance by the Biblical epic "Noah" which dropped to second place by an equally epic 61% compared to its opening weekend. Third place is taken by "Divergent" which has made it past the $100 million mark. The top five is rounded up by the Christian drama "God's Not Dead" which continues to impress and has even expanded to an additional 1,758 theaters, and Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" which also expanded to 1,263 theaters this weekend.
