GI Joe Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson

High numbers for the top three films at the box-office this weekend. "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis pulled in a solid $41 million and took the top spot over the three-day interval. The opening is smaller compared to 2009's "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" which opened with $54 million, but solid foreign ticket sales will help the second Joe recover in the next weeks. "The Croods" took a step down to #2 with $26 million and the third spot was occupied by Tyler Perry's "Temptation" which opened with a healthy $22 million, quite decent for a film with a weak publicity campaign. One of the weekend's disappointments was the Stephenie Meyer adaptation "The Host" which only managed a sixth place opening with a 3-day total of $11 million versus a $40 million budget. Not really a hit.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.

Independence Day Roland Emmerich

The sequels to the 1996 sci-fi blockbuster "Independence Day" are moving forward according to director Roland Emmerich. Both he and longtime collaborator Dean Devlin have completed the first draft of the scripts for the two films which are currently titled "ID Forever Part 1" and "ID Forever Part 2". I do hope they change these titles though, because they keep reminding me of "Batman Forever", and not in a good way. The drafts will be handed over to screenwriter James Vanderbilt ("The Amazing Spider-Man", "White House Down") for the obligatory rewrite. Emmerich has offered some more details about the sequels' timeline, plot and characters. To keep it short, here are some selections from the director's interview:
"The humans knew that one day the aliens would come back, and they know that the only way you can really travel in space is through wormholes. So for the aliens, it could take two or three weeks, but for us that’s 20 or 25 years.

While there may be some familiar faces in the sequels — Bill Pullman has already confirmed that he is onboard; Will Smith has not — their storylines will focus on a new generation of human heroes, including the stepson of Will Smith’s Independence Daycharacter (played in that film by Ross Bagley). “It’s still some of the same characters, but also new younger characters; it’s a little bit like the sons take over,” says Emmerich, who promises that the first sequel will have a cliffhanger ending to keep audiences coming back for more. “The first one ends on a little success, but only enough to give the humans hope. And then in the second one they free themselves again [from the aliens].

It’s a changed world. It’s like parallel history. [Humans] have harnessed all this alien technology. We don’t know how to duplicate it because it’s organically-grown technology, but we know how to take an antigravity device and put it in a human airplane. "

The Great Gatsby Banner Poster

Six new character posters have been released for Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby". There's not too much to these posters. They're the usual character portraits. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki. Fans of the novel expecting a classical approach to their favorite book should probably curb their expectations, or avoid this altogether. Luhrmann has also directed "Romeo + Juliet" (also starring DiCaprio) and "Moulin Rouge". He can certianly handle something more subdued (see "Australia"), but judging from the trailers and the fact that the music for the film will be composed by Jay-Z, I wouldn't count on it. "The Great Gatsby" opens on May 10, 2013 (in 3D).

Check out the posters after the jump (click to enlage).

Pacific Rim Jaeger Image

The full roster of Jaeger robots have appeared in the new posters released for Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim". With names suitable for Wrestling fighters, like Coyote Tango, Cherno Alpha, Crimson Typhoon, Striker Eureka, or Gipsy Danger, the robots look ready to rumble and the posters are as cool as they can be, full of rich details and colors. The monsters that humanity must defeat have been kept a secret so far, with only slight glimpses in the trailers and in viral images. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Idris Elba and will be released in 3D on July 12, 2013.

The Conjuring Lili Taylor Banner Poster

You can check out the posters and official synopses after the jump. Here is a short description of the posters:

  • The first poster for James Wan's new haunted house horror "The Conjuring", starring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Lili Taylor. Opens on July 19, 2013

  • Teaser poster for Disney's new animated feature "Planes", a spin-off of Pixar's "Cars". Featuring the voices of Dane Cook, Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards. Opens on August 9, 2013

  • A new poster for the comedy "The Internship" starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two out-of-work salesmen who enlist for an internship at Google. Opens on June 6, 2013.

  • An international poster for Jeff Nichols' drama "Mud" starring Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Sam Shepard. Opens on April 26, 2013.

  • A stylish new poster for "Spring Breakers". The dark crime comedy stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korina, Ashley Benson and James Franco. The film is in theaters now.

James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel in TRANCE

A new behind-the-scenes featurette for Danny Boyle's "Trance" has been released. The featurette provides quite a lengthy insight into the film's story as the director and the cast explain what it's all about. Boyle crafts an intense psychological heist thriller which benefits from a great cast: James Mcavoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel. This is one movie I'm really looking forward to see. "Trance" opens on April 5 in the US and March 27 in the UK.

GI Joe Retaliation and The Host

EVIL DEAD Remake Mutilation Scene

Today we have more distrubing clips from the "Evil Dead" remake directed by Fede Alvarez. The first is a red band clip, so proceed with caution. It's very, very violent and gory (see the image above). The second clip is more focused on suspense, as Jane Levy confesses that there's some unseen entity stalking her. It's too soon to make any real judgement on the film, since the clips only show the same violence and dialogue that we've seen in countless other horror movies, but the early buzz has been positive, so there's a good chance that the remake will live up to, or even surpass the original. The remake stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Elizabeth Blackmore, Lou Taylor Pucci and Jessica Lucas. "Evil Dead" opens on April 5, 2013.

Watch the clips after the jump.

Emily Blunt and Colin Firth in ARTHUR NEWMAN

The trailer and poster for the dramedy "Arthur Newman" have been released. The film stars Colin Firth as a former golfer suffering a major life crysis. He decides to get a new identity and embarks on a journey to build a new life. On this journey he meets a troubled young woman (Emily Blunt) and together they attempt to outrun their problems. This involves breaking into people's homes and pretening to live the lives of their residents. The film opens in the US on April 26, 2013.

Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in 2 GUNS

The first trailer for Baltasar Kormakur's "2 Guns" is finally here. The film stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as two government agents (DEA and U.S. naval intelligence) who end up on the run after a failed mission. "2 Guns" feels like a 1980s action flick, blending furious action with humor resulting from the opposing personalities of the two protagonists. Wahlberg and Washington interact well together and there's some funny dialogue in the trailer. The film also stars Paul Patton, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos and James Marsden. "2 Guns" opens on August 2, 2013.

Watch the trailer after the jump.

You're Next Horror Movie

We have the first trailer for the home-invasion horror "You're Next". The movie looks to be appropriately heavy on the atmosphere and violence and then there's the mystery surrounding the three killers with the animal masks. The less you know about the threat, the more terrifying it is. If you doubt the effect of those masks, check out the three teaser posters released a few days ago. The film stars Sharni Vinson, AJ Bowen, Amy Seimetz, Barbara Crampton, Wendy Glenn, Margaret Laney, Rob Moran, Joe Swanberg, Nicholas Tucci and Ti West. "You're Next" opens on August 23, 2013.

Big Wedding Movie Banner

Two new trailers have been released for the ensemble comedy "The Big Wedding" written and directed by Justin Zackham. One is a full trailer and the other is a 60-second promo for the movie. The comedy features a solid ensemble cast: Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams. I'm still not convinced that this is going to be the hilarious comedy that the all-star cast suggests. The trailers are only mildly funny and Robin Williams is pretty much the couple-counseling priest that we've seen him play in "License to Wed" (a very unfunny movie). He's a great comedian, but his bits in the trailer didn't have me laughing as they should have. Anyway, "The Big Wedding" opens on October 26, 2013.

Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke in BEFORE MIDNIGHT

The first trailer for Richard Linklater's "Before Midnight" has been released. The film is the third in Linklater's romantic trilogy whose previous entries were "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset", all three movies starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as two people living a beautiful, but complicated love story. The story in "Before Midnight" takes place nine years later in Greece, where the couple enjoy a romantic vacation.

Chloe Grace Moretz is Hit Girl

A new trailer for "Kick-Ass 2" has been released, this time an international red band that focuses more on Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz), her high-school experiences and profanity-rich dialogue. The sequel stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jim Carrey, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo and Donald Faison. "Kick-Ass 2" opens on August 16, 2013.

Hugh Jackman Wolverine

Finally, here are the first teaser trailers for "The Wolverine" starring Hugh Jackman. The two trailers are the domestic and international versions, but both show some unique footage, so together they add up to a revealing first look at the movie. And there's also a new poster, just as dull as the previous two released a few days ago.

"The Wolverine" doesn't follow the events in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". The story takes place after "X-Men: The Last Stand" and follows Wolverine all the way to Japan where a mysterious man who owes him a life debt gives Logan a chance to become a mortal. The film is directed by James Mangold ("3:10 to Yuma", "Walk the Line"), who tries to bring some realism to the franchise. Japan is a great setting and the urban samurai atmosphere fits Wolverine quite well. Also starring are Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova and Rila Fukushima.

"The Wolverine" opens on July 26, 2013 (in 3D).

Check out the trailers and poster after the jump.

Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx in WHITE HOUSE DOWN

We have the first trailer and poster for Roland Emmerich's "White House Down". The film stars Channing Tatum as a Washington policeman who ends up being the unlikely hero who saves the President (Jamie Foxx) and his country from a surprise attack that has paralyzed the nation's capital. Emmerich plays this on a much larger scale than "Olympus Has Fallen", including his favorite activity: destroying landmarks. The Capitol building and the White House suffer severe damage and Air Force One is blown from the sky. Another difference from Antoine Fuqua's "Olympus..." is that the threat this time seems to be domestic and not some foreign country with a grudge. Sorry, North Korea, you'll have to sit this one out.

This is not the first time that Roland Emmerich has rained fire on Washington D.C. He also directed "Independence Day" and "2012". In both movies, the White House gets blown to pieces and washed away, respectively. Mass destruction aside, this movie feels like the typical summer blockbuster and only occasionally echoes "Die Hard". The general consensus online is that "Olympus Has Fallen" is probably the better film, but knowing Emmerich, I'm sure there's some outrageously dumb fun to be had with "White House Down". Let's face it, Emmerich is no Antoine Fuqua, but he knows how to blow stuff up on a large scale like nobody else.

"White House Down" also stars Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Jason Clarke, Jake Weber and Lance Reddick. The release date for the film is June 28, 2013.

Check out the trailer and poster after the jump.

Epic Animated Film
Six new character posters have been released for the animated film "Epic". The posters feature only a part of the huge cast of stars voicing the characters, which includes Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrell, Aziz Ansari, Christoph Waltz, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Blake Anderson, Judah Friedlander and Beyoncé Knowles. So, expect additional posters in the next days. "Epic" opens on May 24th, in 3D.

Mark Wahlberg in Michael Bay's PAIN & GAIN

The red band trailer for Michael Bay's "Pain & Gain" is here. The film star Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as two Miami bodybuilders who decide to get into kidnapping and extortion and what happens is a lot of red-band stuff. The trailer gets the message across quite well and from the looks of it, it's going to be "Spring Breakers" with bodybuilders. The film is Bay's first attempt at independent filmmaking and it looks good so far. Also starring are Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ed Harris, Ken Jeong, Tony Shalhoub and Rebel Wilson. "Pain & Gain" opens on April 26, 2013.

Oblivion Sky Tower and Bubbleship

Two new featurettes have been released for director Joseph Kosinski's "Oblivion" starring Tom Cruise. The clips give us some insight into the production design process, the way they built the Sky Tower and the Bubbleship and there's a lot of emphasis on the practical effects used. Just like Kosinski's previous film "Tron: Legacy", this one also looks amazing. Also starring are Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and Melissa Leo. "Oblivion" will be released on April 19.

Chadwick Boseman stars as Baseball legend Jackie Robinson in 42

Today we have 7 new movie clips for the Jackie Robinson biopic "42". From the clips it's obvious that the production values are great, as we've come to expect from Hollywood period films. Chadwick Boseman as Robinson looks to give a great performance. Harrison Ford is a bit over-the-top in a couple of scenes, but he does manage to build a sincerely emotional moment in a quieter scene from the final clip. The film is written and directed by Brian Helgeland ("Mystic River", "L.A. Confidential") and also stars Christopher Meloni, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie, John C. McGinley and Alan Tudyk. "42" will be released on April 12, 2013.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The rest of the turtles in the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot have been cast. The actors who will play them are Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and Noel Fisher as Michelangelo. The role of Raphael was already given to Alan Ritchson. The filmmakers have decided to go with a cast of newcomers and this could be the breakthrough roles that these four young actors are waiting for, although the Michael Bay produced reboot will replace the old makeup and costumes with CGI and motion capture, which means that we won't actually see the real actors on-screen, only their movements, gestures and voices. The technology will be similar to "Avatar" in the way of mixing live action and CGI characters.

"Ninja Turtles" is directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Battle: Los Angeles") and will also star Megan Fox as reporter April O'Neill. The film will be released on June 6, 2014.

Lords of Salem Rob Zombie
A new movie clip for Rob Zombie's "The Lords of Salem" has been released. It's really creepy and gives us a glimpse of a mysterious Beast. What I like about the clips shown so far is that they really don't reveal much about the movie. It's a smart strategy and it may pay off in the end. The story follows a radio station DJ (Sheri Moon Zombie) who receives a musical gift that triggers unusual events relating to the history of Salem and the awakening of a coven of witches. Also starring are Bruce Davison and Clint Howard. The release date is set for April 19.

New TV spots have been released for the following films :

  • Two new TV spots for the sci-fi actioner "Oblivion" starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and Melissa Leo. Opens on April 19, 2013.

White House Down Ender's Game Pacific Rim

You can check out the posters and official synopses after the jump. Here is a short description of the posters:

  • Three teaser posters for Roland Emmerich's "White House Down", the second attack-on-the-White-House thriller this year, starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Opens on June 28, 2013.

  • Teaser poster for "Ender's Game", the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi novel. The film is directed by Gavin Hood ("Tsotsi", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine") and stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. Opens on November 1, 2013.

  • The first of a new series of robot posters for Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim". This new poster features Japan's Jaeger (that's what the robots are called), called "Coyote Tango". Unlike the fun, but dull blueprint posters previously released, these posters look really cool. "Pacific Rim" stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Ron Perlman. Opens on July 12, 2013.

Hugh Jackman Stars in THE WOLVERINE

Today, we have two new posters and eight shiny new images for "The Wolverine". The reboot is directed by James Mangold ("3:10 to Yuma", "Walk the Line") and will follow Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) on his adventures in modern day Japan, where he will draw his indestructible claws to battle evil samurais and mutant threats.

The posters are pretty bad, particularly the first one with Wolverine surrounded by samurais, which just looks like some kid playing with Photoshop. The second poster is so over-the-top you'll find it hard not to laugh. The images, however provide our first look at the supporting characters and actors: Tao Okamoto as Mariko, a woman Wolverine has to protect from the Yakuza, Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper, the typical-looking comic book villainess, and Rila Fukushima as the warrior girl Yukio.

"The Wolverine" opens in 3D on July 26th.

Brad Pitt World War Z

A new trailer and two posters have been released for Marc Forster's "World War Z", the zombie thriller starring Brad Pitt as an UN employee who travels across the world to stop the Zombie outbreak that has already decimated at least 4 billion people, according to the trailer. While the production itself was plagued by delays and budget issues, the film looks epic and although the zombie CGI is not quite convincing, I really like that they've approached the subject from an apparently different angle and have at least tried to give the notion of "zombie attack" an entirely different look and feel. The scope is intended to be massive, but as with many ambitious project, it could fall short of its objectives. Still, I'm excited to see it. The film also stars Mireille Enos, Matthew Fox, James Badge Dale and David Morse. "World War Z" opens on June 21, 2013.

With four new wide releases, competition was high this weekend at the box-office. First prize goes to "The Croods", the prehistoric animated adventure, which opened with a solid $44 million and gathered an additional $62 million overseas, which is not bad at all for its first 3 days. The White-House-under-siege action thriller "Olympus Has Fallen" starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman opened at #2 with $30M, which is decent enough. The highly-buzzed dark comedy "Spring Breakers" opened wide this week after a promising first week in limited release, and managed to rake in $5 million, which is also good, considering it was made on a budget of $2 million. Not so good was the opening weekend performance of Paul Weitz's comedy "Admission", starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, which only earned $6 million.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.

Sharni Vinson in YOU'RE NEXT

Three new terrifying posters have been released for the home-invasion horror "You're Next". The story is simple: a gang of murderers attack a family in their home, and the victims must do whatever they must to stay alive, which certainly includes plenty of violence, I'm sure. The posters focus on the animal masks that the three killers wear and they also display a friendly reminder: "Did you remember to lock your door ?". The film stars Sharni Vinson, AJ Bowen, Amy Seimetz, Barbara Crampton, Wendy Glenn, Margaret Laney, Rob Moran, Joe Swanberg, Nicholas Tucci and Ti West. "You're Next" opens on August 23, 2013.

New plot details have surfaced regarding Michael Bay's "Transformers 4". The film, as previously reported, will be a sequel/reboot and will be set up as a fresh start for a potential new trilogy, featuring different robots and human characters, and a fresh new look. Mark Wahlberg is set to star in the lead role. Here is what the synopsis looks like, via an official press release :
"As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues."
The production is expected to begin this Spring and will be filming in Detroit. "Transformers 4" is scheduled for release on June 27, 2014.

"Epic" opens on May 24th, in 3D.

Captain America 2 The Winter Soldier Logo

  • The rumors in Hollywood have it that Robert Redford is in talks to star in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". Redford would star in the sequel in a "senior leadership role in S.H.I.E.L.D.". This would be the first mainstream part for the actor since 2001's "Spy Game" where he co-starred with Brad Pitt. "Captain America: Winter Soldier" also stars Anthony Mackie (as Falcon), Frank Grillo (as Crossbones) and Emily VanCamp and will open on April 4, 2014.

  • Jonathan Liebesman's "Ninja Turtles" has found another cast member. Actor Alan Ritchson ("The Hunger Games: Catching Fire") will star as Raphael, one of the turtles. Previously, Megan Fox was announced to star as reporter April O'Neill. The reboot of the beloved franchise is produced by Michael Bay and will be a mix of live action and CGI characters. "Ninja Turtles" opens on June 6, 2014.

  • Actor Gary Oldman will rejoin with "The Dark Knight Rising" co-star Tom Hardy in the drama "Child 44", which is based on a Tom Rob Smith novel. The story centers on a 1950s Soviet military policeman (Hardy) who finds himself suspected of being involved in a series of child murders. The film also stars Joel Kinnaman ("The Killing") and Noomi Rapace ("Prometheus"), and is produced by Ridley Scott

  • Vera Farmiga ("Up in the Air", "Bates Motel") will join Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall in the drama "The Judge". Downey stars as a successful attorney who returns to his hometown when his father (Duvall), the local judge, is suspected of murder, and he begins a private investigation while also getting back in touch with his family. Farmiga will star as a waitress who has a past with Downey's character.

  • Kiefer Sutherland will star as the villain, a Roman senator, in Paul W.S. Anderson's historical disaster flick "Pompeii". The film will blend some classic slave-in-Rome plot echoing "Gladiator" with some classic volcano disasater action. It could prove to be interesting. Also starring are Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones"), Jared Harris and Emily Browning. Anderson will use "Pompeii" as an opportunity to get away from the "Resident Evil" films and maybe actually get some recognition as a real director. The film will be in 3D. Here's hoping this will be better than "Volcano".

Vin Diesel Stars in RIDDICK

The story is about "Joey (Jason Statham), an ex-special forces soldier who winds up homeless after going on the run from a court marshal. Joey then steals another man’s identity and befriends a nun (Agata Buzek)". The film looks a bit different from the usual Jason Statham flick, which is probably because it's written and directed by Knight, who also wrote "Dirty Pretty Things" and "Eastern Promises". The former earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. "Hummingbird" will be released in the UK on May 17, 2013.

Fast & Furious 6 Vin Diesel

Two new TV spots have been released for "Fast & Furious 6". There's very little to speak of in terms of new footage, but the movie still looks very cool. If director Justin Lin pulls off a sequel that improves on "Fast Five" I will be very impressed. Starring Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Luke Evans, "Fast & Furious 6" opens on May 24, 2013.

Elodie Yung and Ray Park in G.I. Joe Retaliation

Two new movie clips and 21 images from "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" have been released. The images are a various collection of character highlights. The sequel is directed by Jon M. Chu ("Step Up 3D") and stars Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson and Channing Tatum. "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" opens on March 29 (in 3D).

Star Trek Into Darkness starring Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto

A new international trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" was released today by Paramount and with it came a big surprise. In one of the scenes in the trailer, a bit.ly link was hidden in the background. It was very craftily hidden, I might add, since to the left of it we could see Alice Eve in her underwear, which, I must admit, was particularly distracting. The link led to a new poster for the film, a poster that doesn't really look like a "Star Trek" poster, but is pretty cool. I also included a screenshot of the scene in this post, with the link circled in red, so it's easy to find. The link, however, doesn't work anymore since the surprise is pretty much gone. The new trailer is really exciting, however, offering a lot of new footage and more of the story to enjoy.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and Benedict Cumberbatch. The release dates are May 15, 2013 (IMAX 3D) and May 17, 2013 (2D and 3D).

Susan Sarandon in The Company You Keep

We have 8 new movie clips for Robert Redford's thriller "The Company You Keep". It looks to be a fun old-school conspiracy thriller and one of its biggest assets is its cast. Are you ready for some big names ? Robert Redford, Shia LaBeouf, Susan Sarandon, Anna Kendrick, Chris Cooper, Terrence Howard, Brit Marling, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Richard Jenkins, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte and Jackie Evancho. Convinced ? I know I am. I only hope that it can find an audience and that it doesn't prove to be a pretentiously talky ensemble flop. "The Company You Keep" will be released on April 5, 2013.

James Bond Daniel Craig

After the great 007 hit that was "Skyfall", MGM is ready to start work on the 24th installment in the James Bond franchise. According to Reuters, MGM CEO Gary Barber has declared the following:
"We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners. We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next 3 years it will be released."
Daniel Craig has already signed on for two more films, but "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes will not return to helm the sequel. Longtime James Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have also left the franchise. However, both Mendes and writer John Logan have already thought up a scenario for the next film, and Logan will write the script for "Bond 24".
