Ty Simpkins Lands Lead Role in JURASSIC WORLD

Jurassic World

Ty Simpkins
Deadline reports that Ty Simpkins, the 12-year-old actor best known for his roles in Iron Man 3 and James Wan's Insidious films, has landed one of the lead roles in the highly anticipated sequel/reboot Jurassic World. Additionally, it would seem that New Girl star Jake Johnson may be considered for a role in the film. Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help) is in early talks for the female lead.

Jurassic World will be directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) and Steven Spielberg returns to produce the new installment alongside Derek Connolly, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. The first draft of the screenplay has been written by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and some rewrites have been performed by Trevvorow and Safety Not Guaranteed writer Derek Connolly.
