"Vindication Swim" is a biographical drama written and directed by Elliott Hasler ("WWII: The Long Road Home"). The film tells the inspirational story of Mercedes Gleitze (Kirsten Callaghan), the first British woman to swim the English Channel and her battle against both the cold waters of the Channel and the oppressive society of 1920s England.
The cast also includes John Locke, Victoria Summer, Douglas Hodge, James Wilby, John Tolputt and Sam Bullent. "Vindication Swim" opened in theaters on March 8, 2024 in the UK and Ireland, and in select theaters in the US on October 17, 2025. On November 18th it was released on digital platforms.
