"Ballad of a Small Player" is a psychological thriller directed by Edward Berger ("All Quiet on the Western Front", "Conclave") from a script by Rowan Joffe ("The American", "I Go to Sleep") based on the the 2014 novel of the same name by Lawrence Osborne. The cast includes Colin Farrell, Fala Chen, Tilda Swinton, Deanie Ip and Alex Jennings. The film opened in select theaters on October 15, 2025, and and was released via Netflix on October 29th.
