THE RISING OF THE SHIELD HERO Season 4 Trailer, Images and Posters

The fourth season of the anime series "The Rising of the Shield Hero" has premiered on July 9, 2025 and is also streaming on Crunchyroll. Based on the light novels by Aneko Yusagi and Seira Minami, the new season is once again directed by Hitoshi Haga ("Made in Abyss" assistant director) at studio Kinema Citrus, with series composition by Keigo Koyanagi, character designs by Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu and Masahiro Suwaand, and music by Kevin Penkin ("Tower of God").

The ending song is "Eien ni Ikkai no" ("Once in a Lifetime") performed by Chiai Fujikawa. The voice cast includes Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Rina Hidaka, Maaya Uchida and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.

"Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.

Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.

But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?"
