"The Roses" is a dark comedy directed by Jay Roach ("Meet the Parents") from a script by Tony McNamara ("Poor Things") based on the 1981 novel "The War of the Roses" by Warren Adler The film is also a remake of Danny DeVito's 1989 film starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner, and the new cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, Ncuti Gatwa, Sunita Mani, Jamie Demetriou and Zoe Chao. "The Roses" opened in theaters August 29, 2025.

"Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch): successful careers, a loving marriage, great kids.
