The second season of the comedy series "Work in Progress" has premiered on August 22, 2021 on Showtime. Created by Abby McEnany and Tim Mason, the series is written by McEnany, Mason and Lilly Wachowski. In the new season, Abby looks to move forward in her life with a new job promotion and a new roommate in Campbell (Celeste Pechous) just as COVID-19 begins to emerge.

"Based on her own life, the second season of WORK IN PROGRESS picks back up with McEnany’s character Abby in the wake of her breakup (and almost out of almonds). A 46-year-old self-identified fat, queer dyke, Abby begrudgingly accepts that she’s too busy to kill herself.
