"Naked Singularity" is a crime dramedy directed by Chase Palmer in his feature directorial debut, from a script co-written by Palmer and David Matthews, based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Sergio De La Pava.

Executive produced by Ridley Scott, the film tells the story of an idealistic young New York City public defender burned out by the system, who decides to rob a multi-million drug deal of one of his clients. The cast features John Boyega, Olivia Cooke, Bill Skarsgard, Ed Skrein, Linda Lavin and Tim Blake Nelson.

The film was released on August 6, 2021 in select theaters, and on August 13, 2021 on VOD.

"Naked Singularity tells the story of Casi (John Boyega), a promising young NYC public defender whose idealism is beginning to crack under the daily injustices of the very justice system he's trying to make right. Doubting all he has worked for and seeing signs of the universe collapsing all around him, he is pulled into a dangerous high-stakes drug heist by an unpredictable former client (Olivia Cooke) in an effort to beat the broken system at its own game."
