"Starstruck" is a comedy series directed by Karen Maine and written by Rose Matafeo and Alice Snedden.

Matafeo also stars as a 20-something New Zealand woman living in Hackney, London, juggling jobs in a cinema and as a nanny when she discovers she slept with an incredibly famous film star on New Year's Eve. The cast also includes Nikesh patel, Minnie Driver, Emma Sidi, Sindhu Vee and Al Roberts.

The series originally premiered in the UK on BBC Three on April 25, 2021 and BBC One on April 26. In the US it was released on HBO Max on June 10th.

"Starstruck follows Jessie (Matafeo), a millennial living in East London juggling two dead-end jobs and navigating the complications of becoming romantically involved with famous film star Tom (Nikesh Patel), and follows the couple as they realize they can’t keep away from each other. The ensemble cast also includes Minnie Driver (“Good Will Hunting”) and Russell Tovey."
