"Artemis Fowl" is a sci-fi fantasy adventure film directed by Kenneth Branagh ("Thor", "Murder on the Orient Express") from a script by Conor McPherson ("I Went Down", "The Eclipse") and Hamish McColl ("Johnny English Reborn") based on the 2001 children's novel of the same name by Eoin Colfer.

The film follows adolescent criminal genius Artemis (Ferdia Shaw), who captures a vicious fairy, and attempts to harness her magical powers in a bid to rescue his family. The cast also includes Josh Gad, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Colin Farrell and Judi Dench.

Although intended as a theatrical release, "Artemis Fowl" was released on June 12, 2020 via Disney+.
