AMERICAN SOUL Season 2 Trailer, Featurette, Images and Poster

The second season of the drama series "American Soul" has premiered on May 27, 2020 on BET. Created by Jonathan Prince and Devon Greggory, the show tells the story of Don Cornelius (Sinqua Walls) his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in a cutthroat Hollywood in the 1970s and how they worked, played, rose and fell against the backdrop of the show that was most responsible for the way African-American culture was perceived by the world then.

The cast also includes Jason Dirden, Jelani Winston, Christopher Jefferson, Iantha Richardson, Kelly Price, Katlyn Nichol and India McGee.

The second season is set two years later in 1975 as Don Cornelius' Soul Train continues its success with guests like James Brown (Darius McCrary), Elton John (Hudson Thames), George Clinton (Big Boi), Patti LaBelle (Ledisi), Richard Pryor (Tone Bell), Bootsy Collins (London Brown), and Sly Stone (D.C. Young Fly).
