Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy Reteam for Time-Travel Adventure Movie From Skydance

Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy Reteam for Time-Travel Adventure Movie From Skydance
Ryan Reynolds is set to reteam with "Free Guy" helmer Shawn Levy for an untitled time-travel adventure film that is in the works at Skydance. Levy will direct and Reynolds will star, and both will produce alongside Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.

Reynolds will play a man who must travel back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they encounter their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds. The project is being written by Jonathan Tropper ("This is Where I Leave You"). The project has been in and out of development with Skydance and Paramount since at least 2012, when it had Tom Cruise attached briefly.

Reynolds and Levy's video game adventure "Free Guy" is set to open in theaters later this year, and they are currently in postproduction on the movie. The film's release date was initially July 4, but has been delayed to December 11.

Reynolds will also star in Netflix's video game adaptation "Dragon's Lair", and the sequels "The Croods 2" and "The Hitman's Bodyguard 2". Meanwhile, Levy is getting ready for the release of the fourth season of "Stranger Things".
