"Color Out of Space" is sci-fi horror film directed by Richard Stanley ("Hardware", "Dust Devil") from a script he co-wrote alongside Scarlett Amaris based on the short story "The Colour Out of Space" by H.P. Lovecraft. The film is the first in a trilogy of Lovecraft adaptations that Stanley hopes he can follow up with "The Dunwich Horror".

The story focuses on a meteorite crash near a secluded farm that has apocalyptic consequences for the family living there and possibly the world. The cast includes Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Q'orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong.

"Color Out of Space" opened in select theaters on January 24, 2020.
