STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 2 Trailers, Promos, Clip, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The 14-episode second season of the sci-fi series "Star Trek: Discovery" is set to premiere on January 17, 2019 on CBS All Access, at 8p ET. New episodes will stream weekly on Thursdays. The first season's showrunners Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts returned, but were fired during production and replaced by co-creator Alex Kurtzman.

Created by Bryan Fuller and Kurtzman, the series is set ten years before the adventures of the USS Enterprise, and it follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they explore new worlds and lifeforms. The new season introduces Spock (Ethan Peck) and finds Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) taking over command of the USS Discovery.

The main cast features Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Wilson Cruz. Tig Notaro also appears in a recurring role, and guests include James Frain, Rebecca Romjin and Michelle Yeoh.

"After answering a distress signal from the U.S.S. Enterprise, season two of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY finds the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery joining forces with Captain Christopher Pike on a new mission to investigate seven mysterious red signals and the appearance of an unknown being called the Red Angel. While the crew must work together to unravel their meaning and origin, Michael Burnham is forced to face her past with the return of her estranged brother, Spock.

Season two of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY premieres Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at 8:30 PM, ET/5:30 PM, PT exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States and will also be distributed concurrently by CBS Studios International on Netflix in 188 countries and in Canada on Bell Media’s Space channel and OTT service CraveTV.
