The second season of the dramedy series "Patriot" has premiered on November 9, 2018 via Amazon Video. Created by Steve Conrad ("Wonder"), the series follows the complicated life of intelligence officer John Tavner (Michael Dorman).

The second season finds Tavner receiving a new assignment after his cover is almost blown: to kill a pro-nuclear candidate in a heavily guarded Paris location. Debra Winger joins the cast this season as John's mother and a high-ranking federal government official. The series also stars Terry O'Quinn, Kurtwood Smith, Michael Chernus, Kathleen Munroe, Aliette Opheim and Chris Conrad.

"After barely surviving his Midwestern corporate cover in Season 1, U.S. intelligence officer John Tavner (Michael Dorman) finds himself without his bag of 11 million euros and no closer to the goal of influencing Iran's presidential election. As a result, John's father (Emmy winner Terry O'Quinn, Lost) orders more extreme measures in Season 2: the assassination of the pro-nuclear candidate in a heavily-guarded Paris compound. John is the linchpin of a high-stakes covert operation with profound global ramifications. And he's bringing his mom (Academy, Emmy and Golden Globe Award Nominee Debra Winger, Terms of Endearment ) with him."
