"Apostle" is a horror film written and directed by Gareth Evans ("The Raid") set in 1905 that tells the story of Thomas Richardson (Dan Stevens) a drifter who returns home only to discover that his sister is being held for ransom by a religious cult led by the charismatic Prophet Malcolm (Michael Sheen). Thomas infiltrates the community and uncovers a secret far more evil than he could have imagined. Mark Lewis Jones, Paul Higgins, Lucy Boynton and Bill Milner co-star.

"Apostle" premiered at the Fantastic Fest in September 2018 and was released by Netflix on October 12, 2018. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics.

"London, 1905. Prodigal son Thomas Richardson (Dan Stevens) has returned home, only to learn that his sister is being held for ransom by a religious cult.
