"Homecoming" is a new psychological thriller series created by Eli Horowitz, Sam Esmail and Micah Bloomberg, based on the hit Gimlet Media fiction podcast of the same name. A second season will stream next year.
Julia Roberts stars as Heidi Bergman, a caseworker at Homecoming, a secret government facility helping soldiers transition to civilian life, who starts a new life, living with her mother and working as a waitress. When a Department of Defense auditor questions why she left the Homecoming facility, Heidi quickly realizes that there's a whole other story behind the story she's been telling herself.
The cast also includes Sissy Spacek, Hong Chau, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Allen White, Sydney Poitier, Dermot Mulroney, Alex Karpovsky, Bobby Cannavale, Stephan James, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Brooke Bloom, Ayden Mayeri and Jacob Pitts.
"Homecoming" premiered on November 2, 2018 on Amazon Video. The series has received almost universal praise from critics.

SYNOPSIS

"HOMECOMING is a mind-bending psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts and directed by Sam Esmail (creator of MR. ROBOT). Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts) is a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group facility helping soldiers transition back to civilian life. Walter Cruz (Stephan James) is one of these soldiers, eager to begin the next phase of his life. Overseeing Heidi and the facility is Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), an ambitious company man whose manic demands point to questionable motives.
Four years later, Heidi has started a new life, living with her mother (Sissy Spacek) and working as a small-town waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Whigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi begins to realize that there’s a whole other story behind the story she’s been telling herself.

Watched the first 6 episodes and it's so good! Any show that makes you think and keeps you entertained is a plus, this one delivers. The cast is fantastic, can't say enough about Julia Roberts, she's one if the best!
