The animated fantasy film "Gnome Alone" is a Canadian-American co-production directed by Peter Lepeniotis ("The Nut Job") from a screenplay by Michael Schwartz and Zina Zaflow.

The story focuses on a centuries-old war waged between the grizzled Gnomes who protect earth and the wacky and hungry Troggs determined to consume everything in sight. When a teenager (Becky G) discovers the secret of her home's garden gnomes, she must decide between the pursuit of a desired high school life and taking up the fight against the Troggs.

The film also features the voices of Josh Peck, Tara Strong, Olivia Holt, Jeff Dunham, David Koechner, Nash Grier and George Lopez.

"Gnome Alone" was originally set for release on October 13, 2017, but was pushed back until April 20, 2018, when it opened in Latin America, Europe and Asia. The film was released in the U.S. by Netflix on October 19, 2018.

"Chloe and her mom are moving AGAIN! Forced to move into a decrepit old house filled with garden gnomes. Chloe soon discovers that this house is hiding something terrifyingly big. While home alone after school, Chloe and a nosy neighbor named Liam discover that the gnomes are actually alive! As it turns out, for years the gnomes have been protecting the planet from menacing little monsters called Troggs, who have invaded the house through a portal from another world. When the only solution that will stop the Troggs falls into the wrong hands at school, Chloe and Liam will have to team up with the rag-tag group of gnomes, to fight off the Trogg invasion and save the world!"
